ZOLL AED 3 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator

The ZOLL AED 3 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator combines clear rescue guidance with Real CPR Help® technology, providing real-time feedback on the rate and depth of chest compressions. Its full-colour touchscreen displays rescue images, CPR information and visual prompts throughout use.

With universal CPR Uni-padz®, integrated Child mode and RapidShock™ analysis, the AED is designed to support straightforward treatment of both adult and paediatric patients.

Real-time CPR feedback

The ZOLL AED 3 features Real CPR Help®, which monitors the rate and depth of chest compressions and provides real-time feedback to the responder.

Voice, text and visual guidance help the responder adjust their compressions when required, while the colour display includes a CPR cycle timer and compression depth gauge.

Full-colour touchscreen

A high-resolution Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) touchscreen provides clear visual guidance throughout the rescue process.

Full-colour rescue images complement the audible instructions, providing responders with both visual and verbal guidance during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation.

RapidShock analysis

RapidShock™ analysis is designed to minimise pauses in CPR while the AED analyses the patient's heart rhythm.

The semi-automatic ZOLL AED 3 can deliver a shock, when required, in as little as five seconds after chest compressions have stopped.

Adult and paediatric use

The universal CPR Uni-padz® can be used for both adult and paediatric patients, removing the need to keep separate sets of child electrode pads with the defibrillator.

For a paediatric rescue, the responder repositions the pads as indicated and activates Child mode on the AED. The defibrillator then adjusts its treatment settings accordingly.

Automatic self-tests

The ZOLL AED 3 performs comprehensive automatic self-tests to monitor its readiness for use.

These checks include the battery, electrode pad connection and expiry, internal circuitry and other key components, helping identify when attention may be required.

Robust IP55-rated design

With an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55, the ZOLL AED 3 provides protection against dust and water for use across a range of environments.

Its robust construction has also been tested to withstand a drop from one metre.

Battery

The ZOLL AED 3 uses a disposable lithium manganese dioxide battery with a standby life of up to five years once installed when configured with weekly self-testing.

Data access

Rescue data can be transferred to a USB memory stick using the touchscreen. Optional Wi-Fi connectivity can also support device status monitoring and transfer of cardiac arrest event information.

Long-life electrode pads

CPR Uni-padz® have a five-year shelf life and can be used for both adult and paediatric patients.

The pads are pre-connected to the defibrillator for faster deployment and incorporate the CPR sensor used to provide Real CPR Help® feedback.
