The Pharmacy Medical HECDC103 Controlled Drugs Cabinet is a secure, British-manufactured lockable medication cabinet designed for storing controlled drugs in professional healthcare environments. Suitable for hospitals, pharmacies, GP surgeries, care homes and medical clinics, it provides generous storage space with secure access to medication.

Measuring 860mm high, 760mm wide and 310mm deep, this controlled drugs cabinet features three adjustable internal shelves and additional door shelving, helping healthcare professionals organise medication efficiently.

Controlled Drugs Storage and Compliance

The HECDC103 is designed specifically for secure controlled drug storage and conforms to BS2881:1989 Security Level One, the British Standard for cupboards used to store medicines in healthcare premises.

It also meets the manufacturer's stated requirements of the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973, supporting compliant storage when installed and used in accordance with applicable regulations.

The cabinet is suitable for healthcare facilities requiring secure medication storage with restricted access.

Secure Lockable Medication Cabinet

The HECDC103 features a BS3621 single-point locking system with a six-pin Euro-profile cylinder lock.

The cylinder incorporates anti-pick, anti-drill and anti-bump protection, helping prevent unauthorised access to controlled medication. It is independently tested to BS EN1303:2005 and holds Kitemark KM532920 and TS007 1 Star certification.

A key-retaining mechanism prevents the key from being removed while the cabinet door is open. Three keys are supplied as standard.

The cabinet also incorporates a hardened steel mortise deadbolt with an anti-saw feature and a 14mm bolt throw for additional security.

Three Adjustable Internal Shelves and Door Storage

The HECDC103 includes three height-adjustable internal shelves, providing flexible storage for medicine containers, bottles and packaged medication.

Additional shelving fitted to the cabinet door helps maximise available storage space and keeps frequently accessed items organised.

The adjustable shelving arrangement allows healthcare professionals to configure the cabinet according to their medication storage requirements, making it a practical choice for larger clinical and pharmacy environments.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

Manufactured in Britain, the HECDC103 is constructed from 1.5mm thick cold-reduced mild steel with fully welded joints.

Reinforced 3mm anchor plates strengthen the wall-fixing points, while an anti-jemmy folded door return provides additional resistance against forced entry.

The cabinet features a continuous 2mm steel piano hinge with a 4.5mm welded hinge pin. This design provides a strong door connection and a wide opening for convenient access to stored medication.

Wall-Mounted Design with Hinge Options

Measuring 860mm high, 760mm wide and 310mm deep, the HECDC103 offers substantial storage capacity within a wall-mounted design.

The cabinet is available with either a right-hand or left-hand door hinge, allowing you to select the configuration best suited to your medication room or clinical storage area.

Four 10mm x 75mm hexagon-head sleeve anchors are supplied for secure wall installation.

Optional Warning Light and Electronic Locking

The HECDC103 is available with an optional warning light for facilities requiring an additional visual security feature.

An ABLOY® CLIQ electronic locking system is also available as an optional upgrade, providing an alternative to the standard mechanical locking arrangement.

These upgrades are not included with the standard cabinet and should be specified when ordering.

Durable White Powder-Coated Finish

The cabinet features a polyester powder-coated finish in RAL 9003 White Gloss.

This provides a durable, easy-to-clean exterior suitable for professional healthcare environments where secure medication storage and regular cleaning are important.
