The Pharmacy Medical HECDC001 Controlled Drugs Cabinet is a compact, British-manufactured lockable medication cabinet designed for secure controlled drug storage in professional healthcare environments. Ideal for care homes, GP surgeries, pharmacies and medical clinics, it provides a practical solution for storing medication where space is limited.

Measuring 300mm high, 210mm wide and 270mm deep, this controlled drugs cabinet features one removable internal shelf, robust steel construction and a secure locking system.

Controlled Drugs Storage and Compliance

The HECDC001 is designed specifically for the secure storage of controlled drugs and conforms to BS2881:1989 Security Level One, the British Standard for cupboards used to store medicines in healthcare premises.

It also meets the manufacturer's stated requirements of the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973, supporting compliant controlled drug storage when correctly installed and used in accordance with applicable regulations.

Its compact dimensions make it particularly suitable for smaller medication storage areas and care homes requiring restricted access to controlled medication.

Secure Lockable Medication Cabinet

The HECDC001 features a BS3621 single-point locking system with a six-pin Euro-profile cylinder lock.

The cylinder incorporates anti-pick, anti-drill and anti-bump protection to help prevent unauthorised access to stored medication.

It is independently tested to BS EN1303:2005 and holds Kitemark KM532920 and TS007 1 Star certification.

The key-retaining mechanism prevents the key from being removed while the cabinet door is open. Three keys are supplied as standard.

A hardened steel mortise deadbolt with an anti-saw feature and 14mm bolt throw provides additional security.

One Removable Internal Shelf

The cabinet includes one removable internal shelf, allowing you to configure the available storage space according to your requirements.

The shelf can be removed to accommodate taller medicine containers or retained to separate different items for more organised storage.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

Manufactured in Britain, the HECDC001 is constructed from 1.5mm thick cold-reduced mild steel with fully welded joints.

Reinforced 3mm anchor plates strengthen the fixing points, while an anti-jemmy folded door return provides additional resistance against forced entry.

The cabinet features a continuous 2mm steel piano hinge with a welded 4.5mm hinge pin. This provides a strong door connection and helps maximise the opening for convenient access to stored medication.

Compact Wall-Mounted Design

Measuring 300mm high, 210mm wide and 270mm deep, the HECDC001 provides secure medication storage within a compact wall-mounted design.

The cabinet is available with either a right-hand or left-hand door hinge, allowing you to choose the configuration best suited to your treatment room, medication storage area or care home.

Two 10mm x 75mm sleeve anchors are supplied for secure wall installation.

Its small dimensions also make it suitable for installation within certain larger medicine cabinets, subject to available space and the applicable installation requirements.

Durable White Powder-Coated Finish

The HECDC001 features a polyester powder-coated finish in RAL 9003 White Gloss.

This provides a durable, easy-to-clean exterior suitable for professional healthcare environments where regular cleaning and secure medication storage are important.
