EasyOn-PC is a lightweight spirometer that connects directly into a PC or laptop for real-time spirometry diagnostics.
The Easy on-PC comes complete with diagnostic spirometry software. The handheld sensor utilises the ndd TrueFlow technology to measure the flow of air in and out of the patients’ lungs. Guaranteed for life, this technology eliminates problems associated with traditional methods of flow measurement and helps make the ndd products extraordinarily fast, reliable, accurate and error free.
There are no moving parts, no codes to enter and no screens to catch sputum. The ultrasonic flow measurement is independent of gas composition, pressure, temperature, and humidity thus eliminating errors due to these variables. The software is free of any licencing with any updates provided free of charge for life. This means the device can be used across multiple PC’s with the software installed. The software can be fully integrated into patient record systems such as EMIS and SystmOne*.
Spirometry software and future updates are free
The EasyOn-PC software can be updated free of charge for life; this can be downloaded from the ndd website. The software can be installed on as many computers as necessary without the need for user licences or dongles. The database can also be stored onto a shared network drive which can be accessed by any computer installed with EasyOn-PC software, allowing results to be viewed in a different location.
PC tablet option available
The EasyOn-PC is available as a package with optional Windows touch screen tablet PC, pre-installed with EasyOn-PC software. Using the lightweight tablet and EasyOn-PC together makes this the perfect portable spirometry solution. The results can be printed or exported to PDF and other formats. easyOne Connect can be used on windows operating systems and not is not compatible with MacOS.
Latest GLI 2012 predicted values
The GLI equations are the first global multi-ethnic reference equations for spirometry that span all-ages. Data from 74,187 healthy non-smokers (57.1% females) aged 3-95 years were used to derive the equations using modern statistical methods. This includes the development of age dependent lower limits of normal.
Challenge test routine with Methacoline and Mannitol protocols
Challenge testing protocols are pre-set in the software for Methacoline including Chai et al, ATS Short and ATS Long. Mannitol protocol is also included. The dosage to be administered is displayed in a table on screen and a timer will countdown to show when spirometry needs to be performed. The software displays the % drop from the previous step and also from the baseline. A message is displayed when a positive result has been achieved and the test is complete.
Powerful trend facility
Single or multiple parameters can be shown as actual values and percent predicted. This allows the user to track a patient’s lung function over time.
Incentive screens
The software has three child incentives, the balloon, the monkey and the birthday cake to encourage children to perform correctly. The incentives can be displayed in a large format on screen whilst still being able to view the flow/volume and volume/time graphs in real-time.
The ndd Easy on-PC Spirometer Package provides a practical solution for performing diagnostic spirometry directly through a Windows computer. Designed for professional respiratory assessment, it combines a lightweight handheld sensor with software that displays lung function measurements and breathing curves in real time.
Suitable for GP surgeries, respiratory clinics, hospitals and community healthcare services, this PC-based spirometer uses ndd TrueFlow ultrasonic technology to measure airflow without moving sensor components. Its software supports routine spirometry, patient monitoring and the review of respiratory test results.
Accurate ultrasonic flow measurement
The ndd Easy on-PC uses TrueFlow ultrasonic technology to measure the flow of air during spirometry testing.
Unlike conventional turbine-based systems, the sensor has no moving parts, reducing the mechanical components involved in airflow measurement.
Its ultrasonic measurement method is designed to operate independently of changes in gas composition, pressure, temperature and humidity.
This helps provide consistent measurement performance while simplifying routine equipment handling.
Real-time spirometry testing on your PC
The Easy on-PC connects directly to a compatible Windows computer, allowing healthcare professionals to perform spirometry using dedicated diagnostic software.
Flow-volume and volume-time graphs are displayed during testing, helping clinicians monitor patient effort and review test quality.
The software provides a clear interface for examining respiratory measurements, comparing results and producing reports.
Results can be printed or exported to PDF and other supported formats for clinical documentation.
Free software updates and flexible installation
One of the key advantages of the ndd Easy on-PC system is its licence-free software.
The software can be installed on multiple compatible computers without purchasing additional user licences or dongles.
Future software updates are also provided free of charge.
For healthcare organisations using several workstations, the patient database can be stored on a shared network drive, allowing authorised users to access results from different computers with the software installed.
This provides flexibility for GP practices, respiratory departments and multi-room clinical environments.
Respiratory assessment and patient monitoring
The Easy on-PC software supports Global Lung Function Initiative (GLI) reference equations, helping clinicians interpret spirometry measurements against appropriate predicted values.
A patient trend facility allows individual or multiple respiratory parameters to be reviewed over time, using measured values and percentages of predicted results.
This is useful when monitoring changes in lung function across repeat appointments.
The software also includes predefined bronchial challenge testing routines for methacholine and mannitol protocols.
These functions support specialist respiratory assessment where suitable clinical procedures and trained personnel are available.
Patient-friendly testing features
The Easy on-PC software includes visual incentives designed to encourage children to perform spirometry manoeuvres correctly.
Available animations include a balloon, monkey and birthday cake, providing an engaging way to support patient participation.
The incentive display can be enlarged while the clinician continues to view the respiratory graphs in real time.
This makes the system useful for healthcare settings performing spirometry across different patient age groups.
Integration with clinical record systems
The ndd Easy on-PC software offers integration options for clinical record systems, including EMIS and SystmOne.
This can support respiratory test documentation within established primary care workflows, subject to the relevant integration arrangements.
The ability to export reports also provides an alternative for practices that need to save or share results through their existing clinical systems.
Please Note
The ndd Easy on-PC Spirometer requires a compatible Windows computer. The software is not compatible with macOS.
The system uses compatible ndd Spirette mouthpieces for patient testing. Replacement ndd Spirette mouthpieces are available separately.
