The Seers Medicare 2 Section Hydraulic Couch is a strong, height-adjustable examination couch designed for patient examinations and minor treatment procedures. Its hydraulic operation provides flexible positioning without requiring an electrical power supply.
Suitable for GP surgeries, hospitals and clinical treatment rooms, this two-section couch combines a 240kg safe working load with a gas-assisted backrest, retractable wheels and easy-clean upholstery. A paper roll holder is also included in this package for convenient access to disposable couch paper.
Hydraulic height adjustment
The Medicare SM2550 offers hydraulic height adjustment from 45cm to 98cm, allowing clinicians to select a suitable working height for examinations and treatments.
Its low minimum height assists patient access, while the extended height range helps healthcare professionals maintain a comfortable working position.
As the couch is hydraulically operated, it does not require mains electricity for height adjustment.
Gas-assisted adjustable backrest
The two-section design features a gas-assisted backrest adjustable from -25° to 75°, allowing patients to be positioned for a variety of clinical procedures.
The backrest incorporates an anti-trap design and can be adjusted manually to support both reclining and more upright examination positions.
Strong frame with a 240kg capacity
The Medicare couch features a rigid frame designed to support a safe working load and lifting capacity of 240kg.
Purpose-made precision bearings are fitted at the pivot points, while the frame incorporates an antibacterial powder-coated finish.

Retractable wheels allow the couch to be repositioned within the treatment room when necessary.
An adjustable foot provides stability during examinations and treatment procedures.
The frame also provides clearance for a mobile patient hoist, supporting patient handling requirements where appropriate.

The standard 63cm wide Easy Clean upholstery provides a practical surface for regular clinical use.
A choice of Standard and Standard+ upholstery colours is available, allowing the couch to be configured to suit different healthcare environments.
