Mediana HeartOn A16 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator

The Mediana HeartOn A16 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator provides clear audible guidance throughout an emergency response, with three pre-programmed languages to support different responders. English, Welsh and Polish can be selected directly on the AED.

A built-in Adult/Child mode switch allows the responder to quickly change treatment modes without replacing the electrode pads, while automatic self-testing helps ensure the defibrillator remains ready for use.

Multilingual guidance

The HeartOn A16 provides clear audible instructions to guide the responder through the rescue process.

Three languages are pre-programmed into the defibrillator as standard: English, Welsh and Polish. This allows the appropriate language to be selected when required.

Adult and paediatric switching

A dedicated Adult/Child mode switch allows the responder to quickly adjust the defibrillator for the patient.

The same set of universal electrode pads can be used for both adults and children, removing the need to keep separate paediatric pads or an Infant/Child Key with the AED.

Semi-automatic shock delivery

The semi-automatic HeartOn A16 analyses the patient's heart rhythm to determine whether defibrillation is required.

When a shockable rhythm is identified, the responder is guided through the process and prompted to deliver the shock using the defibrillator.

Automatic self-tests

The A16 performs daily, weekly and monthly automatic self-tests, as well as a Power on Self-Test (POST) and Battery Insertion Self-Test (BIST).

A status indicator provides information on the battery level, self-test result, temperature, electrode pad condition and overall device status.

Robust IP55-rated design

With an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55, the HeartOn A16 provides protection against dust and moisture, supporting use across a range of professional and public environments.

Battery

The HeartOn A16 has a battery standby life of up to five years from the date of manufacture, helping reduce routine replacement requirements.

Event recording

When switched on, the A16 records audio from the medical event to provide additional information for post-event review.

Electrode pad monitoring

The A16 includes a pad quality monitoring function which, when used with compatible upgraded A16 electrode pads, can identify damaged or expired pads.

The standard universal electrode pads have a standby life of three years from the date of manufacture.
