The Mediana HeartOn A16 Fully Automatic Defibrillator provides automatic shock delivery with clear audible instructions to guide responders through a cardiac emergency. Three pre-programmed languages and a simple Adult/Child mode switch make the AED suitable for a wide range of users and environments.

Universal electrode pads can be used for both adults and children, while automatic self-testing and a clear status indicator help ensure the defibrillator remains ready for use.

Fully automatic shock delivery

The HeartOn A16 automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm and determines whether defibrillation is required.

When a shockable rhythm is detected, the fully automatic defibrillator administers the shock without requiring the responder to press a shock button.

Three pre-programmed languages

The A16 provides clear audible instructions in three pre-programmed languages: English, Welsh and Polish.

This multilingual guidance makes the defibrillator suitable for locations where responders may have different language requirements.

Adult and child modes

A built-in Adult/Child mode switch allows the responder to quickly adjust the power level according to the patient.

The A16 can be used to treat children under 8 years old without requiring separate paediatric pads or an infant/child key.

Universal electrode pads

A single set of universal electrode pads can be used for both adult and paediatric patients.

This simplifies AED management by removing the need to keep separate sets of adult and child pads with the defibrillator.

Automatic self-testing

The HeartOn A16 performs daily, weekly and monthly automatic self-tests to monitor its operational readiness.

These include a Power On Self-Test (POST) and Battery Insertion Self-Test (BIST). A status indicator displays information including battery level, self-test results, temperature, device condition and electrode pad status.

Fast charging

The A16 is designed to minimise the time between heart rhythm analysis and shock delivery.

Once analysis is complete, the defibrillator can be charged and ready to deliver treatment within 10 seconds or less.

The battery has a standby life of 5 years from the date of manufacture.

The universal electrode pads have a standby life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, helping users plan routine AED maintenance and consumable replacement.

Event recording

When switched on, the HeartOn A16 records voice audio from the medical event for post-event review.

An SD card is supplied with the defibrillator for data storage.
