Replacement Invacare Linak BAJ100000011, BAJ1, BAJ2, J1BA-001 battery, pack of two 12v sealed lead acid batteries, combined as 24v in the mobility patient hoist. Non-spill at a low price.

It is straightforward to replace the batteries in the Invacare-Linak battery pack or box. Just put it on the workbench or table. You will see six screws that need to come out. Sometimes these may have a security head, but most people will have these in their toolbox nowadays, and if not, they are readily available in most do-it-yourself stores, even supermarkets. Once you have undone the six screws, you can lift off the cover and see the two batteries inside. Just put the two new batteries alongside and swap the cables over one at a time. There are only two cables on each and put it back together. The whole job will take you no more than five minutes.

Best to charge the new fitted batteries in the Linak pack fully before first use. the best way to look after this kind of battery is to charge after every use. If you only use a small piece of the energy stored, you will get thousands of charges. This will reduce significantly the further you discharge before charging, and never leave them in a discharged state. If not used for long periods, recharge every month.

There are two batteries in this pack. They are valve-regulated lead acid or VRLA. They also have the added benefit of being AGM or absorbed glass mat technology. They are safe to mount on their side as required on the Invacare-Linak battery pack, which is non-hazardous and recyclable.
