The Pharmacy Medical HECMC231 Medicine Cabinet offers secure general medicine storage with three adjustable internal shelves and two door shelves. This lockable medicine cabinet provides five shelving positions within a narrow, single-door design suitable for GP surgeries, treatment rooms, pharmacies and care homes.

Measuring 600mm high, 300mm wide and 300mm deep, it offers a practical solution where wall width is limited.

Internal and door shelving

Three adjustable internal shelves accommodate medicine cartons, bottles and appropriately sized supplies. Two additional door shelves provide separate positions for smaller medication containers.

This combination allows healthcare teams to organise stock without increasing the cabinet's external width.

Unlike the HECMC230, which uses three full-depth internal shelves, the HECMC231 incorporates additional storage within the door.

Narrow wall-mounted design

With a width of just 300mm, the HECMC231 is suited to locations where larger medicine cabinets may be impractical.

Its 600mm height provides useful vertical storage, while the 300mm depth maintains a compact footprint.

The cabinet is available with right-hand or left-hand hinges, allowing the opening direction to suit your installation space.

Key-retaining security locking

The cabinet uses a BS3621-compliant key-retaining cylinder lock, helping restrict access to authorised personnel.

The key cannot be removed while the cabinet door remains open. Three keys are supplied with the manufacturer's standard locking system.

Additional security features include anti-pick and anti-drill protection, together with a hardened steel deadbolt incorporating anti-saw protection.

Welded steel construction

The HECMC231 is manufactured in the United Kingdom from 0.9mm cold-reduced mild steel.

Its welded construction provides a durable structure for regular use in healthcare environments.

The cabinet is finished in RAL 9003 White Gloss polyester powder coating, creating a smooth surface suitable for routine cleaning.

An anti-jemmy folded return along the hinge side provides additional protection against forced door removal.

Security standards and installation

The HECMC231 conforms to BS2881:1989 Security Level One, the British Standard for cupboards used to store medicines in healthcare premises.

It is supplied fully assembled and designed for wall installation.

Four 10mm x 75mm sleeve anchors are specified for fixing, although the manufacturer provides conflicting information about whether these are included.
