The Pharmacy Medical HECMC101 Medicine Cabinet provides secure, organised medicine storage within a compact wall-mounted unit. Featuring one full-depth internal shelf and an additional door shelf, this lockable medicine cabinet offers extra storage space for smaller medication containers without increasing its external dimensions.
Measuring 370mm high, 275mm wide and 245mm deep, the HECMC101 is suitable for GP surgeries, pharmacies, treatment rooms and care homes where accessible, secure medicine storage is required.
Internal and door shelving for organised storage
The HECMC101 features a practical two-shelf arrangement designed to make better use of its compact interior.
The full-depth internal shelf provides storage for medication boxes, bottles and other appropriately sized supplies. An additional shelf fitted to the inside of the door creates a separate storage position for smaller items.
This configuration is particularly useful where healthcare professionals need to organise different medicines within a limited space.
Compared with the HECMC100, which has only one internal shelf, the HECMC101 provides additional door storage while maintaining the same external dimensions.
Key-retaining lock for secure medicine storage
This lockable medicine cabinet incorporates a BS3621-compliant security lock designed to restrict unauthorised access to stored medication.
The Euro-profile cylinder includes anti-pick, anti-drill and anti-bump protection.
Its key-retaining mechanism prevents the key from being removed while the cabinet door is open, helping encourage secure locking procedures after accessing medicines.
Three keys are supplied as standard, and the manufacturer provides a 10-year guarantee on the lock cylinder.
The cylinder is independently tested to BS EN1303:2005 and carries TS007 1 Star certification.
Durable steel construction
Manufactured in the United Kingdom, the HECMC101 is constructed from 0.9mm thick cold-reduced mild steel with welded joints.
An anti-jemmy folded return extends along the hinge side of the door, providing additional protection against forced entry.
The lock fixing area is reinforced, while the hardened steel mortise deadbolt incorporates anti-saw protection and a 14mm bolt throw.
The cabinet is finished in RAL 9003 White Gloss polyester powder coating, creating a smooth, wipe-clean surface suitable for routine cleaning in clinical environments.
Designed for smaller healthcare spaces
The HECMC101 provides a practical storage solution for healthcare environments where wall space is limited.
Its wall-mounted design keeps medication off worktops, while the right-hand hinged door provides access to both the internal and door-mounted shelves.
The cabinet is supplied fully assembled and designed for installation using four suitable wall fixings.
With a depth of just 245mm, it can be accommodated in smaller treatment rooms and medication storage areas without the footprint of a larger cabinet.
Medicine cabinet security standards
The HECMC101 is manufactured to BS2881:1989 Security Level One, the British Standard covering cupboards used for storing medicines in healthcare premises.
Its BS3621 locking system and welded steel construction provide security features appropriate for general medicine storage.
The cabinet is intended for use in professional healthcare settings, including hospitals, GP surgeries, pharmacies and residential care facilities.
It is not designed to replace a controlled drugs cabinet where storage must comply with the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations.
Please Note
The HECMC101 includes one full-depth internal shelf and one additional door shelf. It is supplied with a right-hand hinged door.
This medicine cabinet is intended for general medicine storage and is not suitable for controlled drugs requiring storage under the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations.
