The HECDC002 is designed for healthcare environments where secure controlled drug storage is required but available space may be limited.

The cabinet includes one removable internal shelf, allowing you to organise medication across two storage levels or remove the shelf to accommodate taller medicine containers.

This flexibility helps make effective use of the available internal space without requiring a larger controlled drugs cabinet.

Secure single-point locking system

The HECDC002 incorporates a BS3621 single-point locking mechanism with a six-pin Euro-profile cylinder lock.

The cylinder features anti-pick, anti-drill and anti-bump protection, helping prevent unauthorised access to stored controlled medication.

A key-retaining mechanism prevents the key from being removed while the cabinet door is open, supporting controlled access during medication handling. Three keys are supplied as standard.

The lock cylinder is independently tested to BS EN1303:2005 and holds Kitemark KM532920 and TS007 1 Star certification.

A hardened steel mortise deadbolt with anti-saw protection and a 14mm bolt throw provides further security.

The HECDC002 controlled drugs cabinet conforms to BS2881:1989 Security Level One, the British Standard for cupboards used to store medicines in healthcare premises.

It also meets the manufacturer's stated requirements of the Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973.

The cabinet features a continuous 1.5mm steel piano hinge, providing a strong door connection and helping maximise the opening aperture.

This wider access makes it easier for healthcare professionals to retrieve and organise medication within the compact cabinet interior.

Flexible wall mounting and hinge options

The HECDC002 measures 335mm high, 300mm wide and 270mm deep, making it suitable for wall mounting in areas where storage space is restricted.

It is available with either a right-hand or left-hand door hinge, allowing you to choose the configuration best suited to the layout of your medication room or treatment area.

Two 10mm x 75mm sleeve anchors are supplied for secure wall installation.

The cabinet can also be incorporated into a larger medicine cabinet where the available space and installation arrangement are suitable.

The HECDC002 can be supplied with an optional warning light for an additional visual security feature.

An ABLOY® CLIQ electronic locking system is also available as a cost-option upgrade for facilities requiring an alternative locking arrangement.

The cabinet features a polyester powder-coated finish in RAL 9003 White Gloss, providing a durable, easy-to-clean exterior suitable for healthcare environments.
