The Selectis Shell Seat is a supportive tilt-in-space mobile chair developed to assist with moving, handling and positioning users in care environments. Its gas-assisted tilt-in-space mechanism provides a positioning range from -3° to +28°, including a forward tilt to help the user rise from the chair.

Designed for users who may remain seated for extended periods, the Selectis combines supportive reclined positioning with larger rear wheels for outdoor use.

Tilt-in-Space Positioning

The gas-assisted tilt-in-space mechanism allows the chair to move between -3° and +28°, providing supportive positioning while seated.

The chair can also tilt forwards to assist the user when standing. An ergonomically designed push handle with hand lever provides straightforward adjustment for carers and healthcare professionals.

Designed for Moving and Handling

The Selectis Shell Seat is designed to support moving and handling within nursing homes and other care environments.

Good hoist access assists with patient transfers, while a directional wheel helps the chair travel in a straight line when required.

The chair has 12.5cm front castors and larger 30cm rear wheels with an integrated centralised brake, providing a configuration suitable for outdoor use.

Adjustable Legrest and Headrest

An angle-adjustable and removable legrest provides additional support and positioning flexibility.

When the chair is tilted forwards, the legrest automatically moves beneath the seat to provide greater clearance as the user gets out of the chair.

The ergonomically designed headrest attaches using Velcro and can be repositioned to provide appropriate head support.

Supportive Seating

The Selectis is particularly suitable for users who spend extended periods sitting and require additional positioning support and comfort.

A lap belt is supplied as standard for additional safety. The chair combines a Brown leather-style outer covering with two-way stretch, vapour-permeable Dartex fabric across the backrest, seat and leg section.

Three Seat Width Options

The Selectis Shell Seat is available in three seat widths, allowing the chair to be selected according to the user's seating requirements.

The 16" model has a 39cm seat width, the 18" model has a 45cm seat width and the 20" model has a 51cm seat width.

All three versions have a 44cm seat depth, 85cm backrest height and maximum user weight capacity of 120kg (19st).
