The Defibtech Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED is designed for straightforward operation by both trained and untrained responders. Clear voice prompts guide the user through the rescue process, while simple illuminated controls make the defibrillator easy to operate during an emergency.

This model is supplied with the standard Lifeline battery, providing a 5-year standby life and capacity for up to 125 shocks or 8 hours of continuous operation.

Clear voice guidance

Once the AED is switched on using the green power button, clear voice prompts guide the responder through each stage of the rescue.

Illuminated On/Off and Shock buttons provide simple controls, while additional indicators alert the responder when the pads need checking, when the patient should not be touched and while the AED is analysing the heart rhythm.

Semi-automatic shock delivery

The Lifeline AED automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm to determine whether defibrillation is required.

When a shockable rhythm is detected, the defibrillator charges and instructs the responder to press the illuminated Shock button. The AED delivers 150J to adult patients using an impedance-compensated Biphasic Truncated Exponential waveform.

CPR support

A built-in metronome provides Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) pacing to support the responder while performing chest compressions.

Voice prompts continue to guide the responder through the rescue process, providing straightforward instructions during both CPR and defibrillation.

Automatic self-tests

The Defibtech Lifeline performs automatic daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly circuitry tests to monitor its readiness for use.

The AED also checks for the presence of pre-connected pads daily, while a system integrity test is performed when the battery is inserted. A status indicator provides a quick visual indication of whether the unit is ready for use.

Robust and lightweight design

With an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP54, the Lifeline AED is dust protected and resistant to water splashes when the battery pack is installed.

Its highly visible yellow casing features protective black rubber edging and an integrated carrying handle. At approximately 1.9kg with the standard battery installed, the defibrillator is also straightforward to transport.

Key features

Battery

The standard lithium manganese dioxide battery provides a 5-year standby life when installed in the AED under specified conditions.

It provides capacity for up to 125 shocks or 8 hours of continuous operation, with visible and audible low-battery indicators.

Pre-connected electrode pads

Adult electrode pads are pre-connected to the AED, helping reduce preparation time during an emergency.

Paediatric electrode pads are available separately for use with children and infants.
