The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator provides clear voice and text prompts to guide the responder throughout Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation. Designed for straightforward operation, the AED analyses the patient's heart rhythm and instructs the responder when a shock is required.

Automatic self-testing, escalating energy and an IP55-rated design help keep the Powerheart G5 ready for use across professional and public environments.

Voice and text guidance

The Powerheart G5 provides RescueCoach™ voice prompts alongside written instructions on its backlit display, helping guide the responder through the rescue process.

The prompts progress at the responder's pace, providing clear instructions throughout CPR and defibrillation.

Semi-automatic shock delivery

The semi-automatic Powerheart G5 analyses the patient's heart rhythm to determine whether defibrillation is required.

When a shockable rhythm is detected, the AED charges and instructs the responder to press the shock button. The G5 uses STAR® biphasic technology with escalating energy if additional shocks are required.

Automatic self-tests

The Powerheart G5 performs automatic daily, weekly and monthly self-tests to monitor its readiness for use.

These checks monitor key components including the battery, electrode pads, internal electronics and buttons, with additional high-voltage circuit testing performed as part of its scheduled self-test programme.

Rescue Ready status

The Rescue Ready® indicator provides an at-a-glance indication of the AED's status.

When the indicator is green, the defibrillator has determined that its battery, electrode pads and internal systems are ready for a rescue. Audible and visual indicators alert users when the device requires attention.

Robust IP55-rated design

With an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55, the Powerheart G5 provides a high level of resistance against dust and moisture.

Its robust construction has also been tested to withstand drops from a height of 1.22 metres, making the AED suitable for use across a range of environments.

Key features

Data access

The Powerheart G5 stores up to 90 minutes of rescue information internally. Event information can be transferred using the USB connection for access following use.

Battery

The defibrillator uses an Intellisense® lithium battery with a 4-year standby life and capacity for up to 420 shocks at maximum energy.

CPR feedback option

The Powerheart G5 is available with Intellisense® CPR feedback, which provides real-time voice and text prompts to support the rate and depth of chest compressions.

This feature requires the compatible Powerheart G5 adult defibrillator pads with CPR device.
